Yea, but of the 100's of titles they have, there are only going to be like 2 or 3 that I would actually get that I couldn't get from blu-ray.

There is a very very small selection of movies that are out on both formats, most of them are exclusive to one side or the other. Then again, maybe you simply have extremely refined tastes in movies.

lol @ eproductwars. Amazon sales tracking and inventory searches are not an accurate way to get a count. Addtionally, if you were following current events you'd know that all the Paramount releases are still available on BD via Amazon. They don't count as they are *no longer produced*. When they're gone they're gone.

Well actually I just don't buy that many movies. I've had a BR player ala the PS3 for a year but I only have like 6 movies for it, so 2 or 3 is quite a few movies to me.

If your TV supports 3:2 reverse telcline, then it makes no difference. The player would output half the pixels at twice the rate, and your tv would reconstruct twice the pixels at half the rate.

Yeah inverse telecine is going to be done by either the player or your TV, and it will look the same regardless of which one does it. In this case the player doesn't do it, so your TV needs to do it. 3:2 pulldown compensation is a trivial feature to add to a TV, so even the cheaper ones should do it.
