Not this year. nV will release a refreshed GTS based on the G92 chip but not a real highend card.

Oh no! Say it aint so.

I'm dying for a 9800 GTX. I thought it was going to be out by Crysmas :D Get it? Crysmas :p

bump.

Any dates or rumors? I don't want to play through Crysis at 20fps with my 8800GTS but there is really nothing I can do to improve my framerate except buy a new card. It's crazy to buy a giant power hungry GTX now.

erm.... GT/G92GTS?

I have seen no evidence of a GPU after the G92, Please provide any links of any GPU roadmap after 2008 Q1

2x G92 1gb GTS and an oc'd Q9450 should Play Crysis very well in the meantime though.

This really sucks... For once I am actually in a position to buy the next high end card when it is FIRST released, instead of at the end of it's life, and now there's no sign of the thing!!!!!!! By the time it comes out I will probably not have the money!!!!! :fu:

How hard would it have been to google "Nvidia 9800GTX" instead of starting yet another new thread about it? It seems you start another one every week.

If the 128SPs G92 is coming on Dec as rumored then you can bet its 2008.
i'd say Feb or March 2008.

Well, at least it's not like a Crysis thread.....lol! :captnkill: So, stop the bitching already would you! The feedback is nice on some of these comments. No one want to play Crysis at 20 fps so I know everyone was hoping for the 9800 GTX by mid-nov oh, well Q1 that just sucks balls!

Really? Which ones? You mean the ones that state for the kazillionth time that Q1 08 is when it'll be released?

Or was it the Back to the Future parodies that did it?

No, the ones that relate to to the following.....

I was just hoping on a getting an update sooner then later since this is an NVIDIA forum. You never know who might just break the news that the 9800 GTX might come out sooner then later which has been known to happen. I will remain very optimistic since it doesn't cost me anything. Now don't get all worked up over there um'kay....

Nvidia would have made a ton of money if they released this card along with Crysis. I would have definitely bought one. A window of opportunity seems to have been missed here by them tbh.

Yes, I know their CEO must be kicking him self in the ass over it to.
Last year it was the 8800 GTX now it's something we don't need.
Hell, at least they could of come out with an 8900 series based card.
which could of been called the 8900 GT and 8900 GTX and then by Q1
we could have a really kick ass NVIDIA card.

why did nvidia loose money, would you not buy a 9800gtx if they released it in two months, I know I would, nvidia is banking right now on the 8800gt, which is nearly sold out everywhere, they dont need to rush out the door with another highend when they have no competition, they are slowly maturing their 65nm process, and when the next highend comes it will probably be really effecient at 65nm process, and I would rather have them work on the drivers for a few months, so I dont have to go through the g80 driver nightmare all over again.
