Demos rock. Just look at how much fun people are having with Crysis. And it's even better when the developer bundles in an editor with the demo, like Crytek have done. People have already released custom maps for the game too. :)

Yeah there really is no need for a demo.

The fact it uses GFW Live makes it even less likely.

It sucks so bad that there is no demo.

You talking about FOV? Every time Cliffy B is interviewed about GoW PC he mentions 1920x1200 :p

1920x1200 does not mean proper FOV. Look at Bioshock, I play it at 1920x1200 but I need to use a hack for real widescreen support (not cutting down vertical view)

But we don't really know if it will have proper FOV until it's out.

If a game is designed for widescreen such as Bioshock the FOV is fine, it's just 4:3 plays saw more up top. It's not a big deal. GoW would be the same. Designed for 16:9, but 4:3 see more uptop, but less on the sides.

It's not a good deal for me. 4:3 screen shouldn't see more than widescreen resolutions. Widescreen was created for an expanded field of view, not reduced. A game at 1920x1200 should see the exact same pixels than 1600x1200, plus 160 extra pixels on left and another 160 on right.

If Bioshock creators decided that 16:10 was the right field of view for the game, but added an extra gift for 4:3 users, then it's a very bad desing decision. Anyway I don't think it's a desing decision, but marketing bs.

Damn those 4:3ers getting extra. It gives them such an unfair advantage! Those haxorz!

I don't see the big deal in Single Player games. Multiplayer, you have an argument, but then it swings the other way with us widescreeners have an advantage over 4:3ers. No one will win, All I care is the engine will let me set my home res, not stretch the crap out of the image and let me adjust the FOV if I want to. Bioshock allows that so it's no big deal.

Even on single player games it's a problem, because the image is zoomed, so you don't feel the distance to walls as well as 4:3 users.

Couldn't agree more.

Bioshock allows that so it's no big deal.

Wrong, Bioshock does not allow FOV adjusting (not yet, I hope they release a patch), but we can adjust it using a hack.
