While doing a little domain crawling, we noticed that ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, recenly purchased ELDERSCROLLSONLINE.COM. Combine this little acquisition with the fact that it recently opened up a online game division headed up by Mythic co-founder Matt Firor, and I think we might have made a love connection. We contacted Bethesda about this, but have yet to get an official response.

How does a massively multiplayer version of The Elder Scrolls strike you?

that would be pretty cool, but then again it would turn out like all other MMOs. It would be nothing but grinding and pointless quests, which really wouldn't be too different from what they already put out :p

Personally i dont like MMO's. i prefer if TES stays SP.
if anything i wouldnt mind 2 divisions working on SP & MMO separately so people who like MMO's enjoy it aswell , but not at the expense of us SP gamers.

As long as they dont abandon the singleplayer games I have nothing against a MMO..
who knows, maybe they can make something new in the genre.

yea, what made it so much fun was that it wasn't an MMO.

Can't stand MMO games, and I've never understood why others like them.

I'd rather see a WOW 2 with a nice graphics update and better story based quests. I think morrowind could have made a decent MMORPG though (for it's time). Oblivion's leveling is too messed up. IMHO.

I enjoyed TesIV a lot id say 120+ hours once i got some good addons in there and id say the only thing it was really missing was a co-op mode so and MMO TesV would have my interest

But if its going to go MMO id rather see it take the guild wars route of an instanced based world outside that of the major towns/city and manybe(also like GW) have A.I. based party members from the different guilds, that way i can decide to avoid other real ppl when im in a soloing mood

There are so many fantasy-themed MMOs out there....what's the point?
