I notice that Crysis is that great, it has its own area. Why?

People are putting this game on a pedistal like its the alltime pc giant.

First off, is the story any good?

Is it cuz of the eye candy?

Whats the deal with this game?

Im not that impressed. It may be an eyecandy game but its a game for those who have the money to play it.

Has any other game got the attention this game is getting?

Its only a demo also. And its not enjoying on the average PC.

A game that can only be played on a ultimate gaming machine shouldn't be that popular cuz of the opprotunity to those who can only afford an average rig.

Yea the game looks oh so sweet and demo runs very well, but im one of the few who can say this.

That doesn't help popularity much if its limited to a certain group of gamers.

It's the technology and the opportunity to experience something different in an FPS--the nanosuit. The added freedom is sweet and so are the cinematic cut scenes which do worlds to move the narration forward and keep you wrapped up in the plot.

Oh and did I mention the game looks utterly amazing. :D

It'a a cutting edge PC game. Not a watered down unoptomized consolized game. That makes it special.

The fact that if you crank up the graphics it becomes too demanding for any PC on earth makes it that much more exciting for people who love tinkering with computer hardware to squeeze out every drop of performance.

Not the hype machine , but actually this game is the best looking for its gener & gameplay style.

Levels rarely play out the same on very large environments. Suit abilities change gameplay and allow you to play more specialised (eg speed for rushers, cloak for stealthy guys). Game looks pretty good, some may agree.

On top of all that, the game is probably one of the most hyped PC games in the last few years and it delivers.

Yes, according to the demo, the game is THAT great. Fantastic experience in all game areas, gfx, story, production value and best of all.....

I agree this game is awesome even if you can't have it on very high settings, High settings are very good but med is ok except for the shadows. The nano suite rules personly i love it, stealth and shoot a guy in the head take hi weapon means you don't have to waste ammo. Stealth is awesome a nice touch to strangle and through the guy onto his comrades. Speed is good for getting over large areras or avoiding lots of enermies. You can customise you weapon to the situation needed. In the furture the gfx can be bostered and keep the game looking better for longer.

Any game where you can kill people by throwing other people at them gets major brownie points in my book. You just have so much freedom of how you want to execute levels. Remain undetected, silently kill people, run and gun, it's all up to you.
