I'm running Redhat 9, Xfree86 4.3. I have the latest Nvidia drivers.

2ghz P4
Geforce 3 ti 500
1 gig ram

I have in my XF86Config file "load "glx" " in the right section, but i get the following error when I try to open Bzflag, ut2003 demo etc...

Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Can't create window. Exiting.

It used to work fine, can't think of anything I did that would have stopped it from working.

The driver is now "nvidia" still doesnt work, same error. I used redhat-config-xfree86 and it said it was nv, changed it to nvidia within the config, we will see now.

Well, looks like I fixed it myself.

A note to redhat users: using redhat-config-xfree86 can somehow mess up your XF86Config file by not showing the nv driver in its list. It just loads "nv" instead.
