I picked up q6600 and xfx i680 mobo. Amazing processor, it's running happily at 3.0 Ghz no voltage increase. Mobo supports 1066/1333 FSB :)

I got an extra 1000 points with the new drivers on my GTS's. Vista is faster than XP now. At least on 3DMark.

How do you figure that Vista is faster then XP when it comes to 3dmark 06????

My video card is not overclocked, it's regular 8800GTX and it's no SLI, so i think my score is about right.

What is your score with default video card clock?

And here is a latest Tomshardware CPU chart.

My score is perfectly right...

Your score is perfect for your CPU speed and default GTX speeds. I was getting about the same till I started to OC my GTX a little bit for some extra juice in cyrsis. Also, yes, the G0 Q6600 rocks. You will hit 3.0Ghz with almost no effort or voltage increase ;)

In XP the GTS's in SLI got 14010, in Vista they got 14245. Both with the cards OC'd to 650/1000 and with the 169.04 drivers.

The GT's are different though. In vista they get 13398 but in XP they get 15264

your score sucks for a OC'ed quad core my last run on my stock GTX was 13,1??K And put that Q6600 to 3.4 at least for benchmarking if not daily use

Edit: oh sorry you bought the XFX 680i.. Idont thinkyou can do 3.4 stable with out the A1

Yeah... very constructive post mythy. :thumbdwn:

Personally, I think that's an awesome score for a non-OC'd GTX. If you OC that GTX a little, you'll be in "extreme" territory. ;)

I guess my stock GTX was just faster for no reason at all then  And no extreme is no where near 12-14 extreme is in the 20's

mythy you should buy a couple of those G0s and see if you can mess those up by lapping them too :rofl
