hi guys this is my motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-G31MX-S2 LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813128061

I hear this 8800gt is pci 2.0 do I have that? Will it work on my mobo?
I just bought an Evga gts 320mb last month, does it qualify to step up to the gt?How would that work?Is this really a signifcant improvement in all aspects vs the 8800 gts 320mb? Thanks.

PCI express 2.0 is backward compatible, so it will work. The GTS 320 qualifies for step up, you have 90 days from the purchase date to start the process. Since the GT is cheaper, all you would have to pay is shipping. http://www.evga.com/stepup/default.asp?switch=3

And yes, it is significantly faster, even comparable to the GTX in certain games. Check out these reviews:

cheapest shipping is like 11$, but that's both ways so figure about 22$~ A worthy upgrade imo. Unfortunately i missed the step-up time by literally 1 day before the GT came out so I'm selling my 320 on the 'bay. I figure the extra money spent will still be worth it in the long run.
