169.04 work great for me. Please post some benchmarks for both.
These drivers are dated Nov 6 on nvidia site.

haha, how the hell nvidia link is better. WHQL driver is WHQL driver. station drivers couldn't change a single thing other wise it wouldn't be a WHQL driver any more.

I didn't mean better in better driver, just better interface and speeds for downloading.
Has anyone succesfully installed the Vista 64Bit drivers? The file keeps coming in corrupted?

163.75 WHQL
# Improved compatibility and performance for NVIDIA SLI™ technology on DirectX 9, and OpenGL applications.
# Game and application compatibility fixes. Please read the release notes for more information on product support, features, driver fixes and known compatibility issues.
(They have added better compatibility to all latest games...Crysis, Hellgate London etc etc)

Yea unfortunately they are corrupted, maybe they'll fix it as soon as possible. Dying to do some comparisons. :)

Don't they know before they release this stuff directly from NVIDIA?
Geee...........
Change the location to UK. File is not corrupt with the international version.

Apparantly they fixed the link, I'm going to give them a try regardless. :)
Additional Comment:
Okay, tested them. I can confirm the reflection update in Crysis is fixed. Performance is lower in Crysis (to be expected) but was double in UT3, I think AA is not being applied correctly in UT3, or that the inbuild AA force doesn't work, like it did with the compatibility bit in the new Beta drivers, I'm afraid I just totally forgot about that, just realised it. I could see it did have AA applied, so I don't understand really. Here are my results
Windows Vista 64bit
1680x1050
Q6600 G0 : (1600)x9 : 3.6Ghz 1.5v
Corsair 2Gb : Dram 800Mhz 4-3-3-12-2T 2.1v
8800 GTX : 612 - 1500 - 2000Mhz
Averages of two or more runs
Crysis
All settings on Very High, except Shaders and Shadows, which are set to High. No AA.
169.04 Beta
Min : 18.82 Max : 33 Average : 25.94
163.75 WHQL
Min : 11.29 Max : 28.92 Average : 24.10
Unreal Tournament 3 Demo
8xTRSSAA, Gamma Correct, 16xAF
169.04 Beta
Average : 35.28 - 73.6% > 30fps
163.75 WHQL
Average : 61.74 - 99.63% > 30fps

nVidia is seriously ****ing confusing. Which ones are better?
163.75 WHQL or 169.04?
I'm assuming 169.04 since they have the latest version number?

163.75 WHQL are Official drivers and fully tested for compatibility issues
169.74 are BETA and NOT fully tested for compatibility issues

163.75 is old, this is nothing more then "beta" 163.75 with Microsoft WHQL stamp approval.
163.75 are not recommented for new games (crysis, timeshift and some other ones probably)
don't pay attention to WHQL is a waste.

Wrong...
• Improved compatibility for The Way It’s Meant To Be Played™ game titles:
BioShock, Crysis, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Hellgate: London, and
World in Conflict.
These improvements solve cases of reported performance slowdowns in some 3D applications
with high graphics settings and resolutions.

163.75 WHQL does not bring better FPS but more stable performance as it is noted with less slowdowns during play

True, but how long was that Crysis bit added to the drivers? For the last 5 drivers or so, and I think the TF2 profile says it all, that's been a while ago now that that was released.
= Old drivers.
I think my benches show that, the min fps is a BIG drop, so your comment is not correct.

there is difference about improving compability and being recommended driver.
and 163.75 is not a recommended driver for crysis.

What is the date on these drivers?
What is the date on these drivers?
Well, Im on XP btw:
DriverVer = 10/04/2007, 6.14.11.6375
DriverVer = 10/28/2007, 6.14.11.6904
There you have it, 169.04 are newer than 163.75, but this is for XP...

04's are buggy, and those bugs give it better performance, 75's are not so buggy and a little slower. I like 75's. Better iq.
