What is the best antivirus/firewall/spyware software thats resource friendly. I use zone alarm security suite currently and that works pretty well. What others have good protection and doesnt hog up your system to run it?

Your own ability to stay off the sites that would make you need them.

CA is good and try bitdefender too.

Agreed, save his comment about CA. CA was fairly good about 3-4 years ago but pretty abysmal in every AV test I have seen. The Suite also now uses Tiny firewall and can't stealth, but if you have a router with NAT it's a mute point.

I use the latest Kaspersky internet security suite. It's one of the best, with highest virus detection rates.

I recomend Norton 360 as it is All Around Sercurity... It has had a Bad reputation in the past from the ***** Norton Anitvirus but this one is in the game and i have had it for eight Month now and its worked Great! I hate Mcafee as it slows your computer down were as Norton 360 hardly does and i havent noticed any drop in performance

Based on the reviews I have bought today BitDefender 2008, full 64bit support and has a special "gaming mode" where the antivirus switch to lowest resource usage by disabling some features not needed during gaming. Very cool.

AVAST best all around AV out there IMO. uses little resources very user friendly and the first year of home edition is free...
