View Full Version : Vista instal on P965 Switching to 680i
Will my Vista install survive the move to a new motherboard/chip set ? I have herd that Vista will adopt and boot but I never tried it yet...

well not sure about from intel to nvidia.
but my move from 939 socket/nforce4 to c2d/nforce 680i killed my vista. had to reinstall.
Well I'm prepared for that I just don't wish to waste my time doing it :(

I went from 965 to P35 w/o a reinstall.
I did have to call for a reactivation. :rolleyes:
No worries there :p 12 more hours till my new baby arrives! I am really looking forward to the hardware firewall but more importantly Ntune's monitoring and adjustments. I even got some DDR2 1066 on its way EPP of course :)

If it's an OEM version you may need to call Microsoft, OEM versiones are glued to the motherboard where they are activated, but I think they can unlock it

Ghost knows how to avoid a reinstall, I've forgotten his trick though. :(
yea well I did a reinstall and my pc is Fed up!
