I haven't seen anyone saying that 8800GT was worth getting or even, better than 8800GTX?

Somebody make me feel better. :headexplode: Because I'm thinking of getting GT, or should I wait for G92?

I got one... my reasoning was that the GT can play all the DX9 games as well as the GTX, and then I can trade it up later. The only game the GT can't handle is Crysis, but the GTX can't handle it either. :p

Plus I like to play with new hardware, and I want to test out high shader clocks the GT offers.

If my experiment fails and no high-end G92 is on the way, I may be in the market for an Ultra.

No, nvidia decided to put out a useless product to help drive profits down and hopefully put the company into financial peril. Stay far,far away from it.

Why dont you read some reviews first and then come back.

Cuz I'm lazy, LOL. I got back from cruise, chill. :p

But I've seen some reviews though, only they say is that they were very happy. I could see that it was worthy to upgrade from GTS. But I have GTX and it's the best card possible, but now I saw the SLIZone website shows the GT, it says awesome power, awesome price. I was wondering, does that means it's better than GTX?

I also saw a thread, people deciding to go from GTX to GT. Is it actually worth it? Or should I wait for G92?

Lately, I've been playing BF2.. so... It may not be worth an upgrade yet unless I play newest game possible like Crysis.

GTX --> GT is a downgrade.

But, if you are looking to get some return by selling your GTX and waiting for the next round of cards, now might be the time to do it... or the time might have passed already... there have been some GTX's in the for sale forum for $450 for a while that haven't been snatched up yet.

if you can sell your GTX for a good price still it's not much extra for 2 GT's and that is a decent upgrade from a GTX.

Definately worth getting.
It cant beat the GTX for some frames... But who cares? The GTX is still 450+$$, the GT only 230+$$ ... Scores 2-4 Frames less in Avg. Framerates in Crysis.

Getting mine tomorrow... Man I'm excited. Finally DX10! (nana2)

go look at some reviews for 8800gt sli and a single gtx, it beats gtx by 50% in almost every game, but at a higher resolution, gt is a great buy at this time, no need to go out and spend 500 on a card that could be obsolete in 2-3 months time period. unless you can find a gtx for 350, lol.

I think I'll sell GTX, cuz GT won't drop in prices for a while, would they?

Hellz yeah. I oc'd my GTS 320 to 607/1950 and I can tell you that the speeds my GT came with at stock are faster. Plus the extra memory and lower price don't hurt :>

I don't think it is worth getting a 8800GT even if you have a 8800GTS 640mb ,looking at these reviews with some of the newer games ,they are about the same ,and it would be a down grade from a 8800GTX .Plus looking at these reviews where they are running basically the same ,the 8800GTS 640mb is clocked at 500/1200/1600 and the 8800Gt is clocked at 600/1500/1800.

great DX9 cards, not so great verus the GTS with the new titles unless you play with no filtering.

The 8800GT is just as good as the 8800GTS if not a little better. My point is if you already own the 8800GTS 640mb ,I see no point in getting the 8800GT for no more performance gain then you get .I would wait until the top of the line cards comes out .IMO But if you are upgradeing from a 7900 version ,then the 8800GT would be the way to go.
