This topic probably has been posted so I apologize for the duplicate but does anyone know if there is a set release date on the revised GTS cards or is it still "up in the air" as far as release dates goes? I think its the one based on the G80 gpu (the one thats suppose to beat the current 8800gt). Thanks for the help. I'm just trying to plan ahead.

The revamped G80s are already for sale. They are the 8800GTS SSCs. I thought that there was another new G92 GTS coming out... it's all a bit confusing.

Will the debut of Crysis at GForce Lan4 reveal a new king? ;)

Look at the specs, but I doubt there has been a benchmark done.

From what it sounds like, the new G92 8800GTS could possibly beat the GTX. Probably won't know until Dec tho.

Thats really cool. What do you expect the price tag to be on that?

dec 3rd is the highly talked about released date for the g92 based 8800gts with full 128 shaders, I think two of these chips will probably be end up being the dual chip card that is being talked about early next year to go against the dual rv670 card.

I have no clue... it was only from 1 article I read on Tech Report, which has been circulating around. No price was mentioned. I'm keeping an ear out tho.

I think I remember something about a price point of $50 more than the 8800GT. The GT was supposed to settle between 200 - 250, but it's still above that. I'm guessing 300 - 350 would be in the ballpark if the price difference was true. Of course I think $200 was supposed to be the price on the 256MB 8800GT. So I'm guessing the 512MB model for a new 8800GTS would be $300 +, with the 1Gig the 350+

Well, hopefully it's released before Dec 14. That's the last day I have to upgrade from my current 8800gts 640mb.:)

We could all pray for the big one from NV, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Yeah, but I don't really care about that. I just want a decent card.

Hopefully the new GTS will be > GTX. The GTs are definitely impressive too... not too much slower than the GTXs, even in Crysis.

I will refuse to get a new GPU until it performs 60+ FPS on CRysis with 4XAA and 18X AF at 1680 by 1050! :p

Actually I am not joking :)

I hear what you are saying. I'm pretty dissapointed in my SLI 8800GTX cards in Crysis. :(

That is why my Crysis is now stashed safely. I simply refuse to play it becuase, I cant play it on FPS that I want.

Oh well, good for me, I still haven't finished Bioshock :p Still in the early stages on in GoW and I will get UT3 next month should tie my Crysis gaming craving for some time till reasonable hardware is available for Crysis
