I have to say I'm impressed with this little bugger.

Just put it in my system tonight and have been testing it out. Max temps for these scores was 58C, fan at 50%. This is an EVGA 8800GT Superclocked (650/1800). It scored better at stock than my EVGA 8800GTX did, by 100 points.

I did apply AS5 to the memory and GPU, BTW.

Superclocked Stock:

OC 700/2000:

Granted this is a lower res benchmark without AA.

So the GT is actually faster then the XFX 8800GTX XXX.

Just played some Crysis DX10 at 700/2000.

Still getting right around 30 frames up to 35... not bad. That's 1680x1050, everything on high except for shaders and postprocessing medium.

You can't tell how well a card is going to play games going by the 3DMark06,Look at the 2900XT it scores good in 3DMark 06 ,but it does'nt do so good in games. excepcially in GX10 games.,

My 8800GT only gets 10705 in 3dmark06 @ SC stock, which is about 2k faster than my GTS 320 @ stock. I should probably be getting a bit more, looking at the online reviews, but I think it's because my E6600 isn't OC'd at all (IE 2.4ghz). Runs fantastic in all games though ^^

I'm just posting some scores for informational purposes. It does fine in Dx10 games, though not as well as the GTX by a few frames a second.

No need to crap every GT thread on this board.

Thanks.

I yeah, bumping it to 3.0 would get your score right up there, and OCing the clocks boosted me almost another 1000 points. You could probably get it right into the 12000 range.

3DM06@ 1920x1200. :D

I just played some Bioshock @ 1920x1200... This was impossible with my GTX without lag feeling in-game. It's running smooth as butter now.

^^

What are your OCs?

edit: OH you're in XP too... that helps.

I'll stick with XP for a while now.

I used Vista from february, an now that I'm back with XP i'll stay @ XP.

Better framerates, same IQ (in DX9 games) as Vista (DX10 games), faster than Vista, easier than vista.

Maybe i'll install Vista as dual boot, just for games to come. The DX10 games that are out now look the same as in DX9 imho.

Benchmarkscores under Vista and XP are almost the same these days btw. 3 or 400 point difference. When I first started using vista the difference was about 1000 to 1200 points.

Edit; I haven't clocked the cards yet. They are @ 660/1900.

Nice scores

i think this card is ready for any game unless there is some AA involved.

I played QW last night with 2AA, 1920x1200, all settings max and was getting 55+ FPS the whole time. So a little AA is no problem either... at least in that game.

Well QW is an OpenGL game & GeForce cards are traditionally fast in that API. try some other recent ones like Bioshock , MoH:Ab , TimeShift & Jericho with AA.
Jericho to be exact as this game takes large performance drop when AA is enabled.

With nHancer I can let 1 card do the AA and let 1 card do the actual game rendering. :D

Edit:

bull ****. not at 1920x1200 you are not getting that score with an 8800GT. Start looking for a problem, that score is NOT right. You got a problem, especially if the GT is beating your old GTX...

Sorry bud, you got some issues to solve...

That score is x2 GT's. :p

Just got one of these 8800GT's this past week and I'm quite impressed!

I put mine on H2O, running at 700/1750/1950 and the Max Temp running 3DMark06 was 45 degrees C. Thing runs very cool on H2O.

3DMark scores -

It scores well, allthough i think a SLI GTX + quad scores a tad higher.Nothing can beat this for value for money though, kickass tbh.

Kickass score at that res DHP,could you run a 06 at the standard res ? [EOCF] Tim from this board recently got a second GTX for his quad rig.He scores 18087 @ 3.6Ghz with the GTX's : 648 / 1620 / 2052.A comparison to that would be nice.
