i am very happy atm

my zotac 8800gt was just a dissappointmed for me

because my max stable mhz was 694/1674/1053 mhz

i changed my vcore 1.05 to 1.1

and now at 725 gpu 1728 shader it seems to be stable

i will share info as i tested more

Tbh i find it odd how you can be dissapointed with a card like that just because you initially couldnt hit 700 mhz.You are getting insane value for money there, its like getting a ferrari for half the price and then complaning that you cant get 100 hp more out of the engine :p

testing @756/1728 for 7 minutes

still there is no error at real time hdr ibl test i cant belive this is happening (nana2)

damn it it just give error at 756 mhz

but i think i may take 3d mark score at this mhz

gonna try 1.15 vcore i hope it work

I was not aware that you could actually effect a change in voltage via the BIOS on the 88XX series of cards. Sure, you can change it, but it doesn't actually change the voltage. Are you using anything to measure the voltage so see that it is really changing?

well i think u are right u cant give more than the limits

but card is not working at limits as i concluded from my tests

current voltage was 1.05 and i made it 1.1
it increased the core clock range a lot

ont the contrary i also tried 1.15 which is not in the range of default voltages it didnt change anything

No surprise that it's hitting those clocks, really, since it's 65nm. My Ultra will go to 720 before it starts artifacting.

cefurkan, re-paste the cooler. It makes a fair difference. I've been able to OC mine a fair bit higher since I did it. I got 725/1750/2000 with no volt modding :D Temps dropped about 8-10*C

I took some pics but I keep forgeting to post em. I'll do it this aft when I finish work.

Did you guys put cream on the memory chips? how did you do this? remove the old white pad\paste stuff?

Also how much cream did you put on the GPU die? .... just as you would with a CPU, a verry thin layer?
