George W. Bush told the American people 3 days after 9/11...

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

Six months later, George W. Bush's "priorities" suddenly changed...

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him..."
- G.W. Bush on bin Laden's whereabouts, 3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

Any questions?

*hides from the PC of The Left*

He is a politician, what do you expect?

Also post the links and the original text of where and when that was said. :p Even if he did say it I'm not all that worried. Like I said, he is a politician. Shall I post Clinton's speeches and follow up speeches?

As Sting so eloquently put it, "there is no monopoly on common sense / on either side of the political fence."

Tom Daschle, 1998: "Look, we have exhausted, virtually, our diplomatic effort to get the Iraqis to comply with their own agreements and with international law. Given that, what other option is there but to force them to do so?"
Tom Daschle, 2003: "I'm saddened, saddened that this president failed so miserably at diplomacy that we're now forced to war."

Politicians rank right up there with lawyers and CNN executives.

What's the difference between a politician and a vulture? The vulture's wingtips don't come off.

Why won't a shark eat a politician? Professional courtesy.

And so forth, and so on. :D

Cheers,
JND

John Kerry, on the "Kerry for President" web page: "And we should encourage the measurement of the real value of companies by ending the double taxation of dividends."
John Kerry, January 2003: "He's speaking the rhetoric working Americans are so eager to hear but offering only words to distract from his big, new tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans,"
(For those not in the know, the President's tax cut plan includes ending the double taxation of dividends...)

What's the difference between a dead politician in the middle of the road and a dead dog in the middle of the road? There are tread marks in front of the dog. ;)

Cheers,
