Im after a aftermarket cooler for my new 8800GT, ive heard people say "this cooler is supposed to fit" & "that cooler is supposed to fit" .... can anybody actually confirm 100% what coolers actually fit the new 8800GT's, what cooler would be best?

I've read the 7900GTX cooler and other 7 series coolers fit. Dunno if it's true.

Can't say I know of any that are available and definitely fit. The HR-03GT is not available yet :( . Let us know if ya find out about this Ato. I'm looking to replace mine ASAP. They should have had a double width cooler option for these cards IMO. It's not that they don't do the job, although they only just do, it's the noise.

Yes the VF900-CU works. Here is a small review, not english but the pics say it all.

You can buy addional ram heatsinks (from Zalman) and use them on the components.

Fudzilla had some pics of a gigabyte card with a VF700 and also Palit is supposed to be releasing one with their in-house design. No dates though but if the pic at Fud was right the VF700 should be able to fit as well.

Yeah i know, i was just wondering if they will fit\stick on those components ok!?

Just ordered a Zalman (VF900-CU) anyway .... gonna have to wait untill the extra ram sinks arrive before i can try fitting it .... ill let you know the before and after temps and also how the VF900-CU was to fit.

It's all about the sticky tape they use, my Thermalright HR03+ has also "ramsinks" for the power regulators and the contact patch is very small but the sticky tape that comes with the heatsinks is good enough but I did press hard on them like 3 or 4 times after letting the card heat up.

If they don't stick well for you, it's better to use thermal glue instead.
