Greetings everyone! I am a Linux n00b and I'm having a problem with my RH9 installation. For whatever reason, my Nvidia NV25 GeForce4 Ti 4600G 128-MB AGP Graphics Card has always seemed to be the problem child for Linux installs, but I have always gotten around it until now.
With RH8 I was able to install by turning off frame buffering (nofb) but this option seems to have been removed with RH9.
When I toss my Knoppix in I always have had to type something like linux xmodule=vesa to get it to run. I tried this with RH9 but that doesn't work either. I wouldn't mind installing with the VESA drivers because it's no problem to install the NVIDA drivers after that.
I have tried turning off hardware detection, monitor probing, and running it in lowres mode. None of these have worked. Any suggestions??? Am I just missing the frame buffering thing???
Thanks a billion,
-Matt
