Nice, thank you! Now we just need the release patch for Crysis. Come on EA, let it out, people already got the game (legally).

I've gone through about 5 different drivers. Official, betas, tweaked forceware, etc... none of them have done one bit of good. The game is already running as well as it can on our current hardware (on mine at least).
The only thing we can do at this point is tweak config files or upgrade video cards.

No AF :thumbdwn:
AF works but is limited when you have enabled POM. You need a larger viewing angle (to the texture) to see AF on surfaces with POM.
Any SLI improvements in DX10?
Any SLI improvements in DX10?
For me I was getting hard locks in DX10 SLi before this driver. No at least it works :) still testing.....
it looks like it only fixed some of the optimizations they fubard in the last 2 drivers, and thus actually performs a little slower. Namely the water reflection update is now much more frequent. The mountain still looks like ass though. :)
All I did was a quick gpu test before and after upgrading the driver, saddly the min fps whent from 14 to 7, my guess is the computer hitched somewhere. Avg fps only droped a frame, from 22.8 to 21.

add this to your game.cfg file and set it to read only.
r_TexturesStreaming=0
Trust me... you want the high detail mountains... especially later on in the game...
that didn't help.. unless the games.cfg is not read for the gpu benchmarks?

The retail version is grabbing my game.cfg file from the demo folder in my "my games" folder.
does system.cfg still works in the full version?
located here?
c:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo\system.cfg

I have no idea. I never did anything to that file.
that file does not exist, you create it using notepad and put all your configs there.
this is my custom system.cfg file located at the Crysis SP Demo folder...
r_UsePOM=1
r_sunshafts=1
r_colorgrading=1
r_displayinfo=1
e_water_ocean_fft=1
...almost the same effects as very high settings. no need to tweak the individual cvars. @these settings i get 35-40fps @1024x768. on very high by editing the cvars i get 20-30fps @1024x768.
i got it here...
