cant initialize nvidia kernel module

when i type startx all i get is cant initialize nvidia kernel module. and when i type modprobe nvidia in root it says cant locate nvidia. any ideas how to fix this??

What driver are you using? How did you install? Were there any error messages associated with the install? If you used the installer, can you post your /var/log/nvidia-installer.log file?

I'm using 1.0-4349. I installed it by going into root and typing in sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4349.run... im going to give you the log in a sec..
