View Full Version : Difference between Zalman cnps9700 and the NT?

There probably is not a difference between them besides the color but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the help.

The Copper colored one has a manual fan speed controller where you "dial in" the fan speed you want and it stays at that speed. The NT version (silver color) has a 4 pin fan connector so your motherboard can do the fan speed control.

Oh i like the motherboard fan speed control better. That way i can adjust the speed without having to take the side panel of to do so. Thanks for your help.

NT version's copper is black-tinted with a green LED, while the original is regular copper color with a blue LED. That's it. Buy the NT; it looks B3TT4R!

There was a CNPS9700 at the local computer store not long ago. I was tempted to buy it, but i looked at the box and it said for AM2, no mention of socket 775.

I think it was an AM2 only cooler for a bit before they rereleased with 775 support.

I told the guys at the computer store that, but they said they could only get that model... I need educating lol
