So what is the single most frame rate hogging setting in this game, and by that I mean System.cfg setting. I can already tell in the game settings that it appears to be the Shaders, but what specifically?

POM sucks down about 3~5 fps depending on what you're looking at.

also, if you've got 2048 texture size, that sucks down a good 3~5 fps also. 1024 is best.

No that's the value that's been floating around with the "ultra high" config files and I've seen several guys not just on this forum using it and it's killing performance.

Asus, I'll post up my config file settings when I get home.

does anyone get vegetation popping out? not popping up, ie appearing as you get closer. i get stuff actually disappearing as i walk up to it.

it doesn't happen that often, but it is pretty annoying.
