I was wondering why there wasn't a feedback thread yet? Loads of threads, but not a single thread where everyone can give feedback.
Anyway lets start this thread off. :)
Installing/copying files goes so slow, is this normal? Does anyone have this problem too? Can't even hear my HD, is it decompressing stuff off the DVD or something? CPU is doing something, 5% usage, but eh?
Edit : Took about 10min, but got it done. lmao

Well the game is 6 gigs. Not exactly going to copy all that in 20 seconds :p
One word: Awesome
Mp is awesome too. Not a big mp kinda person for games like this. But I find myself playing that more than single player :)
I'm not liking the AI. It's insane that they can spot me behind a bush on a hillside when they are way out in the bay in a boat. Ridiculous.

Crysis has the best and most reactive AI i've seen in any FPS.

Except when they start peeing on each other lol. Or maybe they're just into that?
Full version did not seem to have this issue btw.I have the retail final version. Same crappy AI. Still, its the exact same in Far Cry. Enemy AI that was way far from realistic.
AI was ok but I didn't see it as spectacular or anything. Obviously the graphics and environments are the main selling/hype points in crysis, and in that the game did deliver. However, it did feel too linear and constricted - I seem to remember wandering around with a lot more freedom in FarCry.
For me, the game kept getting better and reached a high point around the time you get into the mines. After that it felt forcefully linear and repetitive. Overall I still think it's a great game, and maybe I'll give the SP another spin eventually under hardware that can properly play it on high/vh.

Dude you are so wrong on this one. The AI is one of the best out there currently, much more realistic than FarCry. They are aware of sounds and dead commerades. They can see what you see, warn others, search, know where you last were seen, spread out and flank, come from behind, call for reinforcements, use smoke and grenades and take cover.
What else do you want?

I cannot believe how good this game is, this is the best we will get for quite some time, story, graphics, gameplay, it's all 10/10, fantastic!
Can a mod sticky this thread please? :)

What about getting killed by a filing cabinet? That really had me so mad, I can take a shot from the missiles on the helicopter and recover but that little cabinet was deadly. :headexplode:
Thought the review thread serves that purpose.

Didn't know that till I read the interview at incrysis.
@ SH64, a review thread isn't exactly a Feedback thread IMO.
I dunno Im a bit dissapointed. I find myself having 10-15 mins spells of crysis then going back to playing cod4 online. Im using the ultra/high tweak from ocuk but to me the jaggies are unbearable. 1680x1050 and if I put 4xaa I get demolished.
This is with a e6600 @ 3ghz and 8800gt 700/2000. I just dislike jaggies.

Same thing. I shelved this game to play COD 4 and The Witcher which seems like much better games to me. With Crysis, I feel like I have to have a computer science degree to change the graphics settings, and I really dislike having to use the 3rd party hacks to enable high graphics levels under DX9. The "game" seems more like a next gen tech demo that is all but unplayable on most systems. To be quite honest, running Crysis at medium detail levels (the only playable settings on system below) and COD4 at maxed out detail levels, COD blows it out of the water. Crysis with its jaggies edges, slow framerates, and stuttering gameplay can't hold a candle to Activisions offering.
Well if I could play the game I could give some feedback ;) so far it likes to just stop or crash.

What else do you want?Maybe, but how can they spot me from 200 yards out if I'm on the hillside hiding behind a rock? Seems a bit much to me. In reality I seriously doubt those guys in the patrol boat would spot me that fast.

Demo thing perhaps? If you are talking about the demo yes, they had major zoom vision of some kind. In the full I never had this uber boat vision issue on any of the levels, was much more realistic.

Talking about boats, have you ever seen the boat driver change seats when you have taken out the gunner? No? Me neither... just driving around over here.

Due to recent hardware problems i've only just got past the bit where you find that woman, but that bit after with the tanks is intense. Really liking the game. The graphics really do give a greater level of immersion. More than expected. After much fiddling with the config files i've found a good balance for my system. Looking forward to having a few hours free to get really stuck in with the game.
I didn't know it was to be a trilogy either. Good news. I wonder how long the next installment will take em to release?!?
BTW, i'm finding the full game is using the CPU much better than the demo. Anyone else finding this?

Is there a way to play the normal difficulty level without the Koreans speaking English? That totally kills the immersion.
