I simply can't figure out. Halp! Vote plz :)

I notice a small FPS drop from 169.04 to 169.09 but on the other hand the water reflections bug is now fixed and they don't "stretch" anymore. But I just want the best performance and I can live with stretched reflections (which are only really noticeable when you're in high motion IMO :)) if I can gain 1-2 FPS and also because of a few people reporting problems, I'm thinking of going 169.04. I'll soon be in the process of formating and when the computer reboots I want to install the best driver so I can play Crysis ASAP, I haven't had time to play the retail yet!! :D

The 169.09 seem to be excellent in XP but I have read some performance related issues in Vista with this driver.

I think you are right. my performance is excellent in XP , my friend though reported a performance degradation after installing these in Vista.

I have 2 x 8800GTX's in SLI and was wondering which SLI profile is the best..Split fram or one of the other 2 (Alternate frame rendering1 or 2) for Crysis?

I dunno which works better but if you use a 64-bit OS you might have edit the Crysis profile of the driver 169.09 or rename the .exe because I believe there is only one that points to "crysis.exe" and not to "crysis64.exe".

Always use the custom mode specified in the profile. Most are AFR anyway, but for us it's AFR1 or AFR2, and I can imagine nVidia can do a few tricks with some more options that we can't do.

169.09 is fastest to my 8800gts640 sli in benchmark ,but 163.75 not lag and jerk. 20fps with 163.75 is much smoother than 30Fps in 169.09.
Maybe it's some kind of syncronous problem in 169.09 (AA makes game jerk very baddly) ,i don't know. Overall very bad performance and Crysis is not much better looking than farcry.
New tricks only eat resources and give very little eyecandy.

.21 are actually very good. They have a lower performance hit with AF, DX9 and DX10 are at the same settings (high) even, and some strange stutters that I experienced with DX10 are gone as well.

Some drivers tested with Crysis benchmark tool.

8800gts/640 sli Intel Core duo 6750@3.5Ghz

1680x1050 2xAA all high ,but shadows medium. sli afr2. quality settings.

driver.--- Fps average
169.09--- 35.85 stutter
169.21--- 33.29 stutter
163.75--- 30.94 solid ,but slow fps.
158.19--- 22.25 Too old for crysis.(good oblivion driver)
169.13--- 38.91 Clearly best performance and no stutter.

I use and recommend 169.13 beta drivers for crysis. Not best drivers for other games and rivatuners separate 2d/3d overclocking not work.
