I've had a creative encore 6x dvd drive for about 4 years and its been giving me some trouble lately so I want to replace it.

Since Pioneer makes the best can you tell me if I should go for the tray or slot in version and why?
Thanks.

Slot load because it's just cool. :D

Agreed... I love my two 106s and they are slot loading. I'll never get a tray loading optical drive again if I can help it. :)

I concur - my Pioneer DVD 106S is fast, quiet, and looks cool thanks to its slot loading fun

Plus having a slot loader sat above a tray CDRW makes copying a bunch of CDs slightly faster and easier :)

Not at all, it has a cool little rubber type cover at the front that protects it:)

Thanks vampireuk,I was worried about that for a while.
My new drive is coming tomorrow and I'll find out just how far away I can throw my old creative encore 6x drive!!!:D
