dx10 has issues for me with 64 bit and entering a new level would make the new level stutter hard. would have to reload the game. ended up playing more in dx9 to not deal with it.

escort prophet sucked big time, i did not see any fire in the level so i had no idea what to do. i had to go back to an earlier save to get through it.

lots of stutter in dialogs with the admiral.

fire bug again on the carrier.

had several plot frozen moments, most annnoying was after the boss, the vtol wouldn't goto the edge of the carrier. i also would fall through the carrier.

the bugs seem to happen from f5 saves mostly.

game was very enjoyable while it was focused on KPA. Soon as the aliens got involved and all the bugs came it got more annoying to where i was just wanting it to end. I thought the alien ship was pretty cool, had a great Alien, Aliens feel to it.

i am glad i didn't run out and buy another 8800gtx for it though, game is way too short to spend another $500 on for sli.

I will be buying the sequels though as i am intrigued by the story a bit though i wanted to punch the people who keep telling ya move it hurry etc..

I wholeheartedly agree with you. The game seems to go to hell around the vtol mission. Those two last levels had a LOT of room for improvement. Even the mission before it had some room for improvement gameplay wise. But at least it wasn't very buggy. I kept having an issue in the carrier level where I'd fall through the ground and die! It's really a shame to see such a great game sort of die out at the end.

Yup, same here. Really killed the experience...

SAme here, I had to reinstall it even cause when I tried to make changes to my weapons it would hang for like 15 seconds for every click I made.

There were holes in the carrier you know! lol

Didn't have any bugs in those levels, and I did some crazy stuff. :)

Yeah 0 when I loaded my saved game on the last level some of the fire and shadows weren't there for some reason - so I just restarted the level.

The last level is a joke, especially the performance. I thought I would be in good shape when through most of the game I got 30FPS on average. However, framerate dropped down to 12 FPS, therefore forcing me to lower my settings to Medium in order JUST TO PLAY IT.

Yeah performance was so bad in that last level. And you wouldn't think it would be since it's not as massive of an environment as most of the other levels.

Sure there are some bugs, but hey that's understandable right?

I mean, look what they've delivered to us.. -an incredible game, that's as much fun playing it, as it is just admiring it.

The bar has been raised.

But yeah, hopefully there will be a patch and new drivers soon :D

That'd be nice.

Performance for me was ok on the last level, but it tanked on the VTOL levels. I mean it would run fine, until I was facing a certain direction. :(

Bugs GALORE! on that carrier. Man, coming off the ammo elevator I kept falling through the floor to the water. I had to sneak around and jump on the yellow rails to the left and super jump on to the crates to get around it. Then, I kept falling through that fire hole in the carrier, would fall right through the boat. The first time I fell through it and landed in an area I wasn't suppose to so there I was searching everywhere for a way to go, had to reload a previous save. Couple of other minor gliches on that thing...

I guess the Crytek engine is really only made for island maps, cause that carrier was so buggy it sucked to play. My frames weren't that bad, of course it did drop to undesirable frames but what really killed me was when you first encountered that large tentacle thing in the jungle than trying to hold it off at the end there where the general dies.... Chasing it down the vally I was getting below 8 fps from my original 25. I had to revert from 1920x1200 resolution to 1280x760 just to freaking play the damn mission.

Way too short though, but all in all, it was my type of game...

There's something weird about the framerates when there is water in the background and then also ground in the same frame. I can look out to the water and get 25-30, or look at the land terrain and get 25-30, but when both are in the same frame I sometimes get 5-15, depending on how many enemies there are. :headexplode:

Yeah, a lot of tweak sites say there must be bugs in the water shaders. Turning them to low will fix it.

I never experienced any bugs at all besides the obvious vehicle physics bugs and occasional ragdoll glitch.

It slowed way down though on the deck fights... especially that last boss... wowie wow wa! I was getting near single digits when the last boss shot that big energy ball canon.
