I went back to Windows XP x64 Professional OEM legal version because the gaming performance has been alot better. I downloaded all the updates off Microsoft's website.
Are there anymore patches of fixes I'll need that are not on Microsoft's website?

I think he refers to your initial statement :) , I don´t think you need nothing more, only WU Updates and drivers.
