Playing .swf files in WMP11

When i try to play .swf files in WMP11 (WinXP SP2) i get the following messege :
your current security settings do not allow this action
What option should i change in the security settings to play the files ?

can flash files even play in WMP11? i know FLV can, but SWF?

yep shockwave flash files. i recall the same files playing fine under WMP9. now they are not.
currently i'm using a freeware .swf player , but i just wanted to know what's wrong & how to fix it.
