Can a file called BOOTSECT.BAK be deleted?

I found a file called BOOTSECT.BAK is it safe to delete?

Yes I believe so. From what I understand it is a backup file created during install if you installed over another OS. or something like that. Google is your friend :) It's only used if the install fails...or something like that.
