hi guys im new here, but I also need help. i been reading previous posts and maybe you can help. i'll do my best to explain this first my specs.

CPU: Pentium 4 HT | Graphics Card: Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 8600 GTS
(VGA GIGABYTE GV-NX86S256H 8600GTS R)

Motherboard: ASUS P5n-e SLI. | RAM: Crucial 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Both Black Slots

Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W Power Supply

Windows XP SP2: 1280x1024 resolution

I noticed before i was freezing and getting BSOD frequently..i solved that problem by getting a better power supply and switching my ram from the yellow slots to the black slots..there are 4 slots total..2yellow,2black

then i noticed that the freezing stop but some problems still remain..when im playing a game i noticed that my graphics isnt up to par..take a look here..

this is a close up of a logo on a game called 9dragons..notice that the words look pixelated..thats not right

also when i play 9dragons for like 15 minutes, i get artifacts and sometimes in game freezing. its disturbing
sometimes i notice random slowdowns...like when im playing it will slowdown for like 4 seconds then back to normal..

is there anything i can do to fix this maybe a bios tweak.. or a configuration done wrong.

oh by the way motherboard bios is updated to latest version.
well thats all for now...please save me

If you find that he get artifacts , freezing and slow downs then it sounds like the video card is getting hot. Download ntune from Nvidias site open the temp panel and play a game for 5 minuites and report them temp.

in F its 158 and in C 69 my GPU is HOTTT when i touch it...it doesnt have a fan..but the same graphics card in another computer is cool when i touch it.
what could be wrong here...

UPDATE: i have installed 2 chasis Fan and have it aimed at the graphics card, since then i have no crashes, no BSOD, and artifacts..keeping the graphics card cool is whats keeping it alive..thanks

Just an assumption......Install RIVA and turn your fan up, bios probaly has it set at something retard like 25-35%, you should not need extra cooling unless you ocing the crap out of it.

His video card doesn't have a fan.
