Last Weapon in Crysis... how do you use it?

how do fire this weapon? do i need to rechard the weapon first?

You have to lock on to a target but that's only possible during the last boss fight. You need to use this gun 3 times if I remember correctly.

Ya.. you are going to have to kill that boss the hard way :) The nuke is only for the FINAL boss.

Just keep dumping ammo into it,as fast as possible,and duck when the feeze ray is about to hit.As for the bigger one (the alien ship that shows up minutes later)

Kill the little aliens it keeps 'spitting' out of its belly,and aim at the opening AFTER,you have killed the little ones,then,and only then,start to charge the gun up while aiming at the hole they come out of,and fire at the light bliush 'hole',do that a few times and your done.

I learned the hard way that the chain gun is the best way to kill him. It takes forever with anything else.

Your chaingun and Gauss rifle will serve you well.

The TAC has infinite ammo <--lame

For some reason you can only shoot it where they allow you to shoot it <-- very lame.

You go from total freedom to not being able to get into jeeps or drive forklifts (you could in FarCry) and finally to a weapon that you can only fire where they want you to fire it.

I am reviving this old thread, I have just arrived to final boss in Crysis. I have got that super-mega-awesome TAC weapon and I have faced the boss.

After destroying its 4 turrets with missile launcher, I have used the TAC weapon to destroy the two "arms" of the creature. Now I have used again the missile launcher to destroy more turrents in the lower part of the monster, and then I have finally opened the blue thing under it with the rocket launcher.

I'm supposed to fire at that blue thing with the TAC weapon, however the TAC won't let me fire, it's disabled. Is it a bug?

you need to lock on to the blue thing first.

But when I aim at the blue thing, I can't see the lock bar that I saw when I destroyed the arms

Was bugged, saving from an older savegame allowed me to finish

Yep, that's a common bug and one of the many reasons that the last level was so disappointing.

I just wish I coulda saved the old man before the little baby alien killed him :(
