A buddy of mine gave me a file of Vista off of his hard drive because I lost my disc. I was wondering how do i burn those files to a disc so my computer reads it as a bootable? They are not in iso form but just a bunch of files. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hmm... I don't think this is something that can be done legally... but I'm not sure how you would go about making files like that bootable. I think only certain files are needed for the install, but the CD itself will need some kind of boot record.
If this is a legitimate question and you legally own XP and really did lose your CD, you'll easily find the info you need through a google search. I'm going to close this thread though because its a legal grey-area and will just start a flame war. Sorry.
