I've got a friend who is selling an old GF2MX:

He's not sure exactly what type it is, what would be the best way to find out?
John
the link is b0rked... but the best way to find out what card it is is look at the serial number... or identify it from looking at it. i might be able to tell if you have another link to the picture
anyways... it doesnt matter what brand or revision geforce2mx... they are all pretty much the same. except if its 32mb compared to 64, or mx400 compared to 350 or whatever the other one was :)
detonator drivers work for all cards, and all revisions.

Just install recent detonators and look at the display control panel->advanced button.

Thanks for the replies, the link should work if you copy and paste it into a new window.

I'm 95% certain what you have there is a Creative Labs GeForce2 MX PCI. I had one of those cards myself and that PCB layout and lack of heatsink on the GPU are the telltale signs. But as others have stated, just install any recent NVIDIA reference driver and you should be good to go.

Back on topic for the thread
(1) Obviously the photo shows that card is a PCI GeForce2 MX.
(2) The picture appears to show the manufacturer and the model number are silkscreened onto the PCB.
Johnmcl7, what else does your friend need to know?
