I have my 8800 GTX running at 630 clock speeds, and the fan is at 70 percent all the time.
Im averaging around 50 degrees at idle is that good?
Thats a fair idle temp on air , nothing wrong here :D
To compare, some people on air, idle at 60-70 easily.

thats amazing for idle... mine idles at 59*C and loads at 75*C but im running a HR-03 plus on it... i seriously think some GTX cards heat up a lot more than others becuase ive seen a very large range of temperatures... mine when i had the stock cooler was pretty much among the hottest ive heard of (76*C idle, 99*C load)...my case cooling is fine because my 7950GX2 or the 7900GTX before it had normal temperatures (65*C/75*C load for 7950GX2 core1/core2 and always less than 60*C load for the 7900GTX)

I have a gts that idles @ 65c loads close to 80c.
I get 70 degrees celcius in idle and close to 85 degrees celcius while loaded
