Kinda expected but still w00t!
Crytek has barely released one of the most anticipated FPS titles of the year, Crysis, and it is already talking sequels. In a recent IRC chat logged by inCrysis, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli revealed that there are two more installments in the franchises due to be released, with the 3rd title to be a deliberate ending. German GameStar has some additional info from Crytek's Steven Bender claiming that Crysis 2 will numerous improvements regarding textures (especially facial textures) and 3D-animations, with near photorealistic movie quality.

Great news! I'm loving the 1st one. Played through it 3 times already and still plan on more...heh.
Although, I agree with Eliminator that this one does need a few patches first. ;)
...you need a X18000GTX 16GB and Core4Octa processor to play the 3rd installment @30fps :D
32GB of system ram recommended :)

From the chat:
. . .Only by running the game in Vista and using the DX10 API can you get the true maximum experience and of course we have no guarantees for the game's stability if it's hacked.
Interesting explanation, I laughed at this part.

Is there any chance that all the aliens died because of Earth bacteria and now NOMAD has to fight the North Koreans who now have some advanced alien weapons? :D
Please let all the aliens die:(
I am just wondering how long it’s going to be before we see the next 2 games?

I tried that. Didn't help. I've since found out you need to upgrade 2 years AFTER each Crysis release.

I'd say give them 7-10 months for Crysis 2, it won't take them near as long as before considering they are merely making additions/mods to the engine. And if he's confident in the new features then it sounds like CryEngine 2 is very scalable and we've probably not seen it's full capabilities yet (that's scary to think about hehe).

Well I think a system who can run Crysis3 in the future, can play every game and even every upcoming game
OR
use it as a guidance system for a rocket....
(PS2 already could do this according to rumors :D )
