add user to AD Users & Computers

i added this user to AD group so she can access this folder but she still couldn't access it but if i add her name to the security of the folder then she has access... why isnt the AD group working? anyone know?

gpupdate /force on her workstation maybe?

i think i found it, the User has to log off and log back in... i don't know why the changes are not taken automatically... but its all good now!
