Vista patches that are not part of update?

So yeah, new to Vista 64 and I hear talk of "important" patches that for some reason are not included in automatic updates.

What is up with that?

As a brand new Vista 64 install are there any I should hunt down and apply?

This is a good idea. There are so many that weren't part of update, now they are. It's hard to know what I need to download separate. One handy thing is, if you install Crysis it will install the important updates for game stability.

go to hotfixshare, they have a lot more updates.
