I might consider it since my HTPC's 2600XT doesn't pack enough punch for 1080p native. I'd get an 8800GT but I need HDMI audio passthrough.

Having moved over to X38, I'm hopeful that ATi can pull off a winner soon. Unfortunately this one, while a step in the right direction, doesn't quite do it. I think a lot of their problem now is driver support.

The reviews I read of this card in Crossfire did not in most cases beat a single nVidia 8800GTX except in 3DMark06 scores.

I won't get one of those cards, but I will probably get one (or two) of the duals when they are released in january or february

Too Late! I checked, and it's already sold out! That was fast!!! It looks like everyone jumped on that deal. All of the 8800 GTs are sold out as well. I'm more than happy with my new 8800 GTS with 112 sp. It does well with Crysis.

Yeah they did sell out fast and I am not surprised at that price.

I wish someone would release something that was twice as fast as the overclocked GTX in my sig. I am ready for another single monster card.

Ah well, maybe next year.

That a dam good price ,I bet it did'nt take them long to sell out ,ATI has a winner on there hands now ,It may be just a little slower then a 8800GT ,but in some games it higher ,and for $214 verus $279 ,It most certainaly worth it.

If I didn't have this GTX I'd buy one for 214 and overclock it to about 850.

Keep watching the link, they get stock back. They were in stock early this morning again, then were out this evening.
