GRID™ Is all about the race- that period from lights to flag; full of tension, pressure, noise, and action.

GRID will take players to beautifully realised and dramatic race locations over three continents to compete in an unprecedented variety of racing events. Packed with the most powerful race cars – new and classic, circuit and drift – players will compete to conquer the most prestigious official race tracks and championships and then go beyond to compete in challenging city-based competitions, through to road events and urban street races.

In Europe, race gamers will compete on the greatest official tracks in prestige Marques including Aston Martin, Koenigsegg and Pagani. Iconic cities across the U.S. – including San Francisco, Washington DC and Detroit and each with their own atmosphere and events – play hosts to diverse street races. Here, high-performance V8 muscle cars set the pace in aggressive closely fought pack competitions.

In the Far East, Japanese racing culture sets the tone where night races, including Drift racing, take drivers through neon illuminated cities and to outlying mountain roads. There is also the opportunity to compete in races that operate on the fringes of legality in the back streets and industrial areas of Yokohama.

GRID is coming mid 2008 for the Xbox®360, PLAYSTATION®3 system and Games for Windows®.

If they're using the same engine as DiRT I'll actually believe these screenshots.

Lets hope it can contend with the likes of Forza and gran turismo ^^

if its using the dirt(neon) engine it definitely WONT look anything like that, and it will run like crap while looking nothing like that.

heres what dirt looks like

uhh not sure what filter ur referring to, thats exactly how crappy the game actually looks. u can just add af and higher res on a highend pc. if u have a better shot post it and ill be happy to replace it, but from everything ive seen that shot is representative of dirt.

Hmm whats up with the 4 letter words in Codemasters games recently :
CMR : DIRT & now RD:GRID .

screens looks good. its using the Neon engine .. same engine used for DIRT.

I thought DiRT looked fantastic. The post-processing was a little much on default settings, but with some tweaks it was a treat to look at.

The shots probably have a little work done to them, but I do believe they're in-engine. Take a look at the player car in the first shot - it has aliasing, etc. The crowd detail, if it does turn out looking as good as these shots, would be amazing.

hehe this was 'in-engine" too but we see how it turned out

I'm referring to the yellow filter that Dirt has. I aint saying the game looks good, just that it would look BETTER without it.

Your out of your friggin mind. You go and post the worst screen shot you can find of DiRT and then try to play it off as if the whole game looks that way.

I will have to reinstall this game because DiRT has some levels in it that are down right some of the best looking graphics I have ever seen out of a video game. And AF and higher res is not the only things you can add to the PC version, The textures, shadows etc are of much higher quality while you can also run AA as well.

Fortunatly the majority of levels in dirt are not plagued with that yellow filter look. Most of the levels have a nice crisp crystal blue sky along with some really nice natural looking locations. Especially the mountains.

The reason it didnt look like that is because no one had the ageia physics card to show all those individual flying rocks... ;)

So true. :p

I think the game looks awesome, but what I want is a simulation game (like Forza or Gran Turismo) for the PC. I know a lot of people don't think it would sell well, but I'm pretty sure there's a demand on this platform for such a game. It would sell like hotcakes if it's good.

Hopefully, this game will be as good as the screenshots say it will be. ;)

Blasphemer! :p

Blah. DIRT is nowhere near decent, control wise. It is not a realistic simulation (like, e.g., RBR) and it is not arcadish like its predecessors. In three words: the controls suck. ;)

(by the way, the same thing can be said of the NFS:PS demo, still haven't tried the full game, though)

I didnt say anything about posting a pic that looks like that promoshot. I only stated that you are using about the worst pic to represent diRT that I have ever seen and what I was telling you was that I can post pics that look miles better than that one.

Just let me get the game reinstalled first. Will get to it tommorow most likely.

ok, post it whenever u get time. id request that u post any screen at its regular playing resolution, and not downsize it tho.
