View Full Version : So what's the status of Enemy Territory and the new patch(es)?

I was part of the beta but haven't really played it much since then.

Since I sold the 8800gtx, I never played afterwards, but now I thankfully have an 8800gt on the way which comes with a free copy of the game, so I'll try it then.

So does the 1.2 or whatever patch really increase performance? The 30/60fps cap was bothersome as well. :)

The beta was just beta. The retail version runs great from day one.

Cool deal. I read the 1.2 patch enabled quad-core support, so I'll do some testing. :)

I didn't notice a huge increase with the patch, but I still think it's a lot of fun for a MP shooter.

I did notice a pretty substantial performance boost with the 1.2 patch, and it definitely runs a hell of a lot better than the betas did.

The best part about the last patch was the new voice chat stuff, hands down. Voice chat alone moved it up one notch from "good" to "great" for me. Unfortunately, the whirlwind of other games right now has been keeping me from playing it, but according to GameSpy's stats its one of the most popular games out there right now.

i think those gamespy stats include bots. the bot filter doesnt work right and its actually hard to find a server with real people.

Maybe, but the last time I checked (say, 3 weeks ago) there were dozens of ranks servers filled to the brim. I do remember there being some issue with routers that were hiding some servers but I don't know if that has been resolved...

filled with bots :)

Number of bots are in parenthesis... For example: 24/24(12)= 24 players total, 12 real, 12 bots.

I'm a bot, BTW.
