Never seen anything like this before. Great idea. Wonder if it would damage the drive over time though...

That's pretty freaking sweet.

However, since it's a "dock" design, I'm thinking you're going to have problems with some drives since not all manufacturers put the SATA and power ports in the same place.

That's what I though, but apparently they have been using the same standard and placement for quite sometime now.
