Anyone running The Rift in LOTRO?

My kin is having a HOOT with this. Turbine finally brought a fun and MANAGABLE raid into the game. We even got some members we lost to Hellgate to come back in.

Took down Thrang last night FINALLY and got a look at the Balrog before we all died/ran like hell.

We got allthe way to the final boss last week and anticipate at leasting getting our arses handed to us by the Balrog this week. :P

I just got the trial of this game. Played a few hours and got to level 6. It seems pretty nice so far. The graphics give the game some very beautiful scenes.

Most boring game ever sitting in Bree.. people are leaving this game in flocks.. just not enough content IMO..

I was in Beta.. I thought this would happen. so I cancelled my pre order.

Then bored needing an mmo bought it.. been playing 2 months .. now I'm done and bored, just as I thought.

When Warhammer and AoC comes out LOTRO will Die!
If your casual player may be ok for hr here and there, but LOTRO has nothing really to offer for the hardcore mmo'ers.

Guess I'll jsut cancel, and wait for Warhammer and AoC.

yeah np .. you'll prob have more fun also the so called pvp in lotro is nothin but this unbalanced sweep type game.

Can't call it pvp as it really isn't it's just a pack of players Creeps and Freeps sweeping back and forth. Rinse repeat.. very repetitive.

If you want PvP, then yes WOW is the game for you (or at least not LOTRO). LOTRO's PvP was tagged on at the last minute and I hope the devs regret it as much as I do. Seriously, if they removed it the game would be better off.

Have to disagree on the "not enough endgame content" bit though. There are plently of areas to explore from quick 1 hour instances (BG) to the week long Rift (or Hele .... if you want to burn through time and deaths for little reward .... but that is another discussion). CD, Uru, Annuminas instances .... point is there is alot to do and yeah they involve doing them with friends. :) Nearly bi-monthly updates and expansions don't hurt either.

LOTRO is a pretty game, but I don't feel like leveling up another game just to have half the end game experience available to me. If I had a bunch of friends working together, then I would consider working my way up through it.

lotro is pretty fun and its got the best quest system for delivering a story ever for a mmo. As for end game content it's a bit of a different type of game then wow with regards to that. its catered more torwards the casual player end game wise. where as wow is catered more to the hardcore, although thats being changed i suppose. its really a well laid out fleshed out game.

Just got my first taste of the Rift. Only downed the 3rd and 4th boss though.
