Hi,
I have ASUS 8170 DDR 64MB MX440SE VGA card and computer (AMD1800+ with VIA chipset) with 2 operation systems (WinXP Professional and RedHat 8.0 Linux). With XP the VGA card works fine with new XP drivers for ASUS 8170 DDR series.
With Linux I have problems. Linux detects my VGA card like GeForce4 (genetic). I can't exchange resolution 800x600 (default) on 1024x768 or more. Picture on my monitor isn't good, it haven't sharpness. I think that is problem in driver for Linux.
Please, help me. where I can to find Linux driver for this VGA card (web site) and little instructions about instalation these drivers.
Please for help.
