Well I got a new mobo today and it booted right at my preferd 3.4GHz OC with 1.34 Vcore and after some tweaking I got this!

Does any one else have a 3.4GHz quad that can get me some comparison results?

wow... thats really high...

Something is either not right with their scores or something is very very right with you computer.

Strange.

I just ran the test on my system and the results look almost exactly the same, except the numbers are roughly halved (dual cores vs quads).

My CPU hits 33k on the Dhrystone while the 2.93Ghz dual supposedly gets 23k. Thats an increase of about 33% for only about 20% increase in clock speed (from 2.93 to 3.6).

Very strange results.

Try running your CPU as close to 2.93 as you can. If it still scores much higher than theirs then its most likely just an inconsistency with their scoring. Or you could have an uber system.

Maybe it's about right, this is what I get in XP with Sandra Lite (2008.1.12.34):

The test does stop for a short while at 50% before going on.

my q6600 does 3.2GHz on stock v-core 31 C load 19 C idle must try higher
the cpu is clocking down its self how to disable it

unless your running a chiller my guess is those temps arnt from coretemp ;)

Go into bios and disable C1E and speedstep

core temp runs on 64 you just have to use a loader, and those so arnt your real temps @3.5 on high end water you can maintain a 50Ccore but were talking dual triple rads...

howe to run all 4 cores in orthosD/L this version (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Home-Education/Prime95.shtml) of Prime95; it automagically will detect and run threads on as many cores as you have.

DL 64bit core temp here: http://forums.erodov.com/showthread.php?t=2161
DL OCCT here: http://www.ocbase.com/perestroika_en/index.php?Download

Dont bother with orthoes this is much better for loading the cores :p

What kind of temps are getting mythy? I got the same board but I think its temp readout is all messed up. Mine idles at 60c and loads at 70c no matter what the cooling, weather, in case or out. I'm running the latest beta bios 0603 tho it was the same with the older ones too.
Great OC btw, I have to feed my B3 1.4v for a little over 3.2GHz:(

Disable Intel Speedstep Techonology (C1E) in bios

That sounds like more reasonable temps. You have a G0 right? My B3 loads at ~50ish so your temps look pretty good.

EDIT: oh and I see we have the same waterblock  You happy with yours?

The temp readout works on mine it just displays the the IHS temps. (27-40ish) If you want your real CPU temps you have to use coretemp. My load is 54-58C depending on room temp.:p

Thanks, I was hoping it was the bios but I guess its either really running that hot or something is up with the sensor. I use Everest Ultimate for the temps and while it shows the cpu at 60c the individual core readings are about 10c lower. It passes overnight Prime no problem so if anything I'll just run it until it dies out:)
Thanks

you spent $700 more for a 2% increase over my $270 dollar quad :D wow man you better get that thing to 4.2 or some thing...

oh and nice score :)
