']Increased performance only for SLI?

With the driver it does seem that way but Crytek did say that the patch will increase "overall performance" of the game. So I think everyone will see some performance increases with the patch.

Look dude, this driver is only to be used in conjunction with the new patch with Crysis. Using this driver now without having the patch for the game is what is causing your crashes.

I really doubt that

Also
Team Fortress 2 crashed too... never done that before
i really doubt a crysis patch will fix it lol
back to the 169.09

All due respect, if this driver was only intended to work for the new patch, then it doesn't make much sense releasing this driver when there's no patch to go with it, now is there?

Furthermore, half the pc gaming community is inept. They dont download the latest updates to windows, they dont update the latest patches, so having a driver crash because of a lack of a patch really doesn't make a lot of sense.

Guess nvidia is dumb enough to release the patch first. My fault.

This could actually be great timing. (if the patch actually does what it says)

I'm getting my new computer Friday which will run 8800GT's SLI. I have not even bothered buying Crysis yet because I've heard that SLI is not utilized yet.

Hopefully with this patch comes fixes and not crashes.

Pray

and if that doesn't work

Prey.....again. (meaning play Prey again)

Look guys, the patch isn't even on Nvidia's website so we have to assume it was leaked early. Therefore anything we say is pure speculation, heck the patch might not even come out for another week! We're all anxious to see some performance gains but we have to remain patient, after all crytek appear to be the type of company that wouldn't leave us gamers stranded, it would appear that these guys are devoted to making the game as perfect as humanly possible.

Crysis plays just fine for me using these drivers, though I don't have SLI anymore. Other games working fine too (TF2, Bioshock, The Witcher). No difference in performance from the 169.09s (at least, maybe not until that Crysis patch is made available). This is with an Asus A8N SLI Premium, FX55, 2GB RAM, and a single 8800GT.
