I just bought a Samsung 40" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV Model# LNT4071F

Has anyone seen this Auto Motion PlusŪ technology in action??

I just can't believe there's not more things about it on the web. It transforms movies into looking like real-time HD camcorder or something, lol.

Looks way too gimmicky IMO. My Sony KDS-60A3000 120hz set has a similar tech they call "Motion Enhancer" which I leave disabled. The real nice thing about 120hz sets is being able to display film without 3:2 judder, not this artificial crap.

I agree, it was fun to play around with for the 1st day or 2, after that its kinda annoying and makes movies look like documentries.

The ony Channel I appreciate it on is DiscoveryHD, since its all documentries anyway it does smooth out some movement.

My Philips has the same tech. I too turned it off. Does exactly what you guys say. Makes everything like a documentary or behind the scenes featurette.
