Dunno if anyone watched the Tennessee Titans vs. Chargers game today but I'd like to point out that the officials SUCK! Since when can a receiver be completely flat faced on the ground, catch a ball when it's scraping the ground and have NO control over the ball? What a crock of BS!

Now I'm watching the Steelers vs. Patriots game . . . wonder how this will turn out?

Yea...I just knew that was going to be overturned.

Seems that the officials are getting worse and worse in the NFL.

The rules are too complicated for consistency. It's not just the officials' fault. The league is to blame for a lot of it. The whole thing about ball control is stupid. It's 50% subjective if the receiver is bobbling a ball or just rotating it, and also if the player used the ground to make a catch or if the contact with the ground was incidental.

The bad thing was that the play was being reviewed for about 5 minutes and it was clear as day that the ball hit the ground and skid into his hands. Refs/officials and the league is just getting ridiculous. They need to change the name from NFL to PFL (Pussy Football League).

Pats are already up 11 pts, what a joke.

Pats just got lucky again with the lateral play. Looks like I'm just gonna have to quit watching football.

You know you'll watch the Superbowl. I know I would.

Haha, doubt it. Super Bowls are getting pretty bad too. Halftime shows suck arse (they find the oldest living artist that can still half way perform), advertisements are out the ying yang (wouldn't be surprised if there were Geico logos on the jerseys) and this year, it will probably be the Pats and a crappy team, therefore it wouldn't be much fun to watch.

Remember last year's game, Colts and Bears? That was so lame to watch since Colts tore the Bears another butthole.

I've heard a commentator say the other day that the strongest nfc playoff team (dallas/green bay) would not be able to beat a wildcard afc team (titans/browns)...and I agree with them.

Last year I would have agreed, but last I saw the NFC has actually won more interconference games than the AFC. The Patriots and the Colts are probably on a completely different level from everyone else, but I'd take the Packers or the Cowboys over the rest of the AFC any day.

Don't forget my Skins, we are still alive, (Ok, life support, but still..)...

But yeah, the refs this year have been really bad...But are refs getting worse? Or is technology getting better? In the 70's you maybe had, what, 3 camera angles if you were lucky? A ref could make a call, and that would be that. Now, every call is scrutinized at every angle and in super slo mo...so of course you are going to see mistakes by the refs. I believe that the refs back then were just as bad, but it wasn't as noticeable to the general public...
