View Full Version : Dell is coming to Best Buy in US

I was wondering how long it would take them to expand their B & M suppliers.

Dell announced yesterday that soon they’ll be selling computers at U.S. Best Buy stores. This includes over 900 retailers in the United States. Dell will be offering a variety of XPS and Inspiron notebook and desktop computers, including models in "the latest fashion colors".

Existing Dell customers will also be able to take their previous purchased machines to Best Buy for custom upgrades. Once the U.S. Best Buy stores come online, Dell products will be available in nearly 10,000 stores around the globe, including Carrefour in Europe, Staples in the U.S., Courts in Singapore, Gome in China, Bic Camera Inc. in Japan, Carphone Warehouse in the U.K. and Wal-Mart in the U.S., Canada, Brazil and Mexico.

This will be good for them IMO, but it will be interesting to see how they price their units. Another thing is that unlike Wal-mart Best Buy has their own repair counter, so I wonder if Dell will let them work on their pcs in store or if you still need to call their tech support.

Let's hope that they also carry their monitor lineup as well. ;)

Staples already sells dell stuff, they have been doing so since october. They made a deal with dell so that they were exclusive with them for 90 days.
