Maybe that was the announcement AMD made on 10th Dec, said they now worthless company.
Big surprise! :headexplode:
AMD must have something big on their cards...maybe they were actually fubar'ing their B2s and downplaying B3s to next quater when in fact they can start shipping this quater??? Hopefully...cpu price wars for the win!!! :D

I notice Bigman is already having an effect on AMDs grammar.
Well time to buy up Intel. Next stop nVidia. Then nVNews (which will be called AMDatabase)

I'll laugh when if AMD brings out a really good CPU and we all go over to AMD and start the "Intel lick both my balls!".
I mean I did it when I went from my beloved 3800+ to my Q6600.

when i had 4400+ i made fun of Intel. If AMD makes something that actually is better, and i mean really better. 5%-10% won't cut it, to force me to change board/CPU, but I would switch.

I'd just build a second system so I could have as many people licking my balls as possible. Not sucking, that feels funny. Just licking.

This is what the blind AMD fans don't see.
It takes a lot for a person to want change out their motherboard. I'm using AMD right now(unfortunately). Amd could price their worthless Quad processer at $100 below the Q6600 and I STILL wouldn't buy it. Few reason why.
1. There are bigger and better chips coming out for Intel that I can STILL use their motherboard if I decided an intel chip.
2. AMD changes sockets more than arct1c changes his lipstick color. Why the HELL would I buy one of their offerings when I know I will NEVER be able to upgrade processors with AMD? AMD is so deep in ****, they HAVE to change sockets and radically change their whole way of doing things. To buy AMD would be completely pointless.
So lets see.
Buy Intel at a slightly more expensive price, get ALOT better performance AND in the future when I want to upgrade, all I need to do is swap out CPU.
or
Buy AMD at a cheaper price. Have crappy performance. In the future when I want to upgrade, I know for a face that I will have to change motherboards AGAIN, which will entitle me to reseting up my whole computer. Losing MY precious time reinstalling a motherboard, windows, drivers, games, programs, and transferring data. And lets not even dig into the bull**** you have to deal with troubleshooting new setups because there is always SOMETHING wrong. I value my time a large amount more than a SLIGHTLY lower price.
Also lets be honest here. Not even including the time(which equals money btw), AMD's offering is NOT cheaper. The prices of new motherboards are expensive. I realize I will sell my old gear and buy new, but think about it. For Intel, all I have to do is sell a processor and then buy a new one. Relatively easy. AMD though, I have to sell a processor(which btw NOONE will want) and a motherboard(again NOONE will want). I'm going to have to sell at an extreme discount because by then, its an "old" socket board. Then buy completely new AMD processor and compatible motherboard.
Call me crazy, but that sounds like AMD is the MORE EXPENSIVE solution to me. Why buy something MORE expensive, that you have to waste MORE of your time, AND have LESS performance?
I really would LOVE for one of you fanbois(Redeemed, Arct1c, etc) to answer that. I would love for you to.
this is very bad for us.
If amd goes down good bye decent prices and any kind of innovation....
Even if you love intel you can't be happy about this.

Wow- you're dense. :wtf:
Quote me one time claiming AMD was the best solution for enthusiasts. Find one quote referring to AMD's current standing where I've claimed that AMD was the best solution for enthusiasts.
Good luck on that buddy. ;)

See. This is how you "try" to combat debates. You insult. And a poor attempt at that. Where do you see me talking about enthusiasts?
Person who builds their own computer does not = enthusiast. Any half wit can build their own computer. I'm failing to see why ANYONE who builds their computer would want to use AMD.
BTW, before you bring out old 2+ year old processors to your argument. I'm not talking about old crappy processors. I'm talking about newer gen. Any fool can find processors for $30. Intel and AMD. They are both irrelevant in talking about AMD's current situation now.

And again you make it evident that you do *not* deal with the vast majority of computer users. Like it or not, the *vast majority* of people can barely operate Windows let alone build a computer.
I agree, it's "stupid easy" anymore- but the truth remains that most just have not latched on to this. Have you ever worked in IT or Customer Service for a company or store that does computer repair and maintenance? The level of ingorance in regards to computers is nearly mind-numbing. I'm telling you this from 1st-hand experience yet you act as if I have no idea what I'm talking about.
Really, it is still as bad as I'm telling you it is, and it's because of that AMD has a chance.
Look, if over all people were a lot more intelligent regarding computers, if most computer users built their own rigs then I'd agree, AMD wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell. Sadly (and fortunately for AMD) most are still very ignorant regarding computers.

While I do sort of get what you are trying to say, I am not sure I fully agree. Most people(even uneducated) still go after the "intel" name. You are more likely to sell an Intel Celeron than whatever new AMD processor is out(sorry I don't follow incompetent company processors. So I can't name any) even if they are the same price. The name "Intel" sells. You in customer service should definitely know that.
The only people I know of that still latch on to AMD are people who "think" they are enthusiasts that haven't really a good grip on reality(arctic is a perfect example). These guys remember back in the stone ages when AMD use to be worth something, so they still think they are now. You can throw these guys any benchmark in the world, and they will still ignore it because Intel doesn't have the "AMD Aura" that they love so much.
I know we get into it a lot Redeemed. I really have no problem with you. I have a severe problem with AMD and who they once were. A lot of people still believe AMD is the same company they once were years ago. You know. The company that CARED about their customers. AMD went from caring about their enthusiasts, consumers, gamers, and "Niche" crowd. To now they don't care about anything at all but money. I see more AMD advertisements now than I EVER saw back when AMD actually WAS a good company. They are paying severely for basically abandoning their fans.
For the record. I use to be an AMD fanboi, as hard as that might seem to understand. This was again, back in the day when AMD gave a damn about their "niche" crowd. Instead of now , where they basically kiss as much Dell and HP ass possible.

Not happy at all, cause if AMD fails, then Intel prices stay high, I want to see a competetor for Intel, so there is innovation and price drops ...
