this is the vista only section, thought i'd share it here.
This way people with vista can comment on their performance and keep vista and xp seperated. But w/e

Fair enough. That's another thing, why do the Vista drivers need their own section??

Sorry for snapping, just in a bad mood today. :D :o

Crysis and alot of other games r set to single gpu now in the Manage 3d settings in the control panel. And yes, SLI is enabled. It does seem a little odd. I know I can change the settings to force alternate frame rendering.

yeah i was just gonna warn people about the custom sli settings missing.
All games are set to single gpu.
This isnt good for sli users because alot of the custom settings for sli are not available.
Im going to try the 169.17 nvapps file and see if it works with these.

do not install these on a sli system, they have none of the custom sli settings etc.

Improvements?

Crysis seems to have lost some frames per sec over .17.

Not gonna install any new driver until crysis gets some extra FPS without sacrifising IQ

Has anybody tried these with OpenGL games? I know in SecondLife none of the shaders work in any of the 169 series drivers, was wondering if this affects other games too.

Actually, 169.xx drivers do not support use of the GLSL linker in any meaningful way. NVIDIA has acknowledged the bug, but is mum as to when a fix might be available and has not yet provided any useful workaround. D3D shaders are fine (HLSL has no linker). Windlight heavily relies on the GLSL linker to make the different shader LODs possible and keep shading uniform across terrain, trees, avatars, prims, and water.

This is just another example of OpenGL taking a back seat to Direct X.

That's how one of their developers described it.

Crysis in DX10 is better with these compared to the .09 (Vista64). I've had strange stutters primarly on some MP maps which are all gone now. SP has no major difference, maybe an average 2-3 frames but thats just an estimate when I replayed the first level with the driver with enabled fps counter.
